Adding to my Card Stash

A very fine good afternoon to you all.

I have had a lovely productive afternoon making some cards to keep in my stash for when you need a card but do not have the time to make one. I always like to have a supply on hand. So, today I grabbed some of this and that and made a few.

All three cards use PapertreyInk stamp sets.

For the first card I used a card base I found which is goodness knows how old from K & Company and I used the stamp set "Doodlie Do". Die cut the shapes, stamped them and then coloured to coordinate with the card base using Copics. The sentiment is from Think Big Favorites, also Papertrey. Inside the card is stamped Happy Birthday.

My second card uses a card base from Crafter's Companion. On it I layered a vellum tag die topped with a button and twine and the flowers are from "Year of Flowers - Mums". I stamped them on cardstock with Memento Ink in Cottage Ivy and Potters Clay. Again, the sentiment is from Think Big Favorites.

My third card again uses a card base from Crafter's Companion. I die cut the Year of Flowers Gladiolus which I then stamped with Memento Teal Zeal. The sentiment at the top is Boutique Borders - Birthday and I finished off with a seam binding bow and a pearl.

So that is it for me for today. I will try to get back at it again tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend and I hope you will stop by again soon. Cheers.

Happy Anniversary

Hello to you all today.

My DH and I have a couple of very good friends who are going to be celebrating their anniversary soon. They live out in the country as we do. I have this stamp of two adorable little pigs snuggled together with a sentiment of "A Special Couple". I simply could not resist using that to make them a card.

Basic cardstock in an apricot colour, some pattern paper from my stash and the piggies stamped on white cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with the Copics as shown below. I did a little research and I coloured them to look like a breed of pig called Gloucestershire Old Spot. I added a seam binding bow with a button tied up with bakers twine.

That is it for me for now. We had a dandy storm last night here and the wind is still howling and the snow is still blowing like mad. We got close to a foot of snow and in spots it is over my knees from the drifting. Better go and get bundled up and go do some shoveling.

Until next time. Thanks so much for stopping by. Cheers.

Power Poppy Peep Challenge

A very happy Saturday to you all. The sun is shining and it is a glorious day here.

I have a simple little card for you today that I made for the Power Poppy Peep of the Week Challenge.

White square card with a layer of pattern paper over around which I wrapped some blue gingham ribbon. The image is from the Power Poppy set "Springtime Love" and the sentiment is from Power Poppy Peonie Duos. I coloured it with Distress Markers. The butterfly die cuts are from PapertreyInk and Ii added a simple bow of seam binding and a tied up button to finish off. Very simple.

Thanks ever so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend. Cheers.

Papertreyink Make it Monday #199

Hello again for another post today,

I have been away so long that I am getting my creative juices flowing again and getting more productive. The fact that the snow is blowing like mad outside my studio window does sort of take my mind off my garden for the moment.

My card is for the PapertreyInk Make if Monday Challenge #199.

I have used the Papertreyink "Text Block - Birthday" die which I cut out of white cardstock and matted it on paper from my stash. I do not have the sequin dies that Betsy shows in the video so I cut out the stars from heavy cardstock using a paper punch. I then threaded them  on Quilting thread for stability in between some tiny beads and secured at the corners. I did not attach any of the stars to the front of the card as Betsy did as I put quite a lot of them on there so they really do not move much at all.

Thanks for visiting again. Please do leave your comments as I love to hear from you.

Have a wonderful day. See you soon. Cheers.

Just a little something

Hello my dear blog friends,

So sorry to have been away so long with no posts. I have been planning and working on ideas for my garden this year.

Anyway, I have a tiny little card for you today, made mostly from scraps and also from Papertreyink stamp sets called Ruby Reprise, Tag-Its #2 & #3. The inks are all from Memento. Could not be simpler.

Thanks a lot for visiting. See you soon. Cheers.
