Papertrey Ink December 2018 Blog Hop

Hello and welcome...

I have a card for the blog hop today. Here is the inspiration photo. I simply adore it as embroidery and needlework is my first love having been taught by my grandfather when I was a young girl.

I have chosen to follow the photo quite closely. I have kept the colours quite soft and if you look closely you will see there is quite a lot going on in the details.

I have used Papertrey Ink stamp sets Tag-its #1, Stitched Sentiments, 
Corner Adorner February, Tag-its #3, Stitches & Swirls, Tag-its #2 and 
Stitch in Time Borders.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #345

Hello and welcome...

My card today is for the Make It Monday challenge entitled Ombre Sentiments.

I really enjoyed this one although I had to really hunt through my sentiment stamps to find one that would be suitable for this technique.

I have used Over Under Easy for the sentiment, Stitch In Time Borders for the border and Nostalgic Notions for the blossoms.

I am playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge 

and the theme is Wrap it Up, preferably using Tim Holtz products.

I have made a tag and decorated it with his amazing Woodland trees and

also some snowflakes. The sentiment at the bottom is on an old

Spellbinders die and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Lots of glitter on everything.

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #344

Hello and welcome...

I am sharing a card today for Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #344 - Deck your Dies.

Here is the amazing card that Melissa made to inspire us. Isn't is stunning!

We are to use a holiday word die in an interesting way as a jumping 

off point for our card.

I have chosen to use the "Let it Snow" die from the Christmas Cheer

set by Papertrey Ink. I have also used the matching stamp set for the 

sentiment which I stamped on the Banner Sentiments die.

The background die is by Spellbinders and the snowflakes are

all by Tim Holtz as they seemed to fit the feel of the card.

I have covered the word die, the snowflakes and the edges of the

background die with glitter. What would Christmas be without glitter!

Added a few wee pearls and a soft white bow for interest.
