Powerpoppy Peep of the Week

Greetings dear blog friends,

This morning was just more of the same from last night. It was dull and gray and wet with those big old nasty dark clouds warning you to stay inside or else.

So, I did what I often do on days like this when I cannot go outside ... I grabbed a gardening book. I have a lot of them, as my friends will confirm. I usually have at least a half dozen on the go at any time and my method to mark my place has often been, alas, a post-it-note. Today I decided to do something about that sad state of affairs. I have made a Book Mark. It is very simple in design. I used the wee image from the Powerpoppy Springtime Love stamp set, so pretty, coloured with Copics, matted on a scrap of paper edged with a Martha Stewart punch and then added a wee little butterfly cut from the Papertreyink Heart -2-Heart #10 die. I added some fibres from my leftover basket and voila, all done. I did not want anything too thick as it does have to go inside a book so I left off any embellishments. I love it. It looks right at home in my gardening book. Now I suppose I really ought to mass produce a few of these puppies to replace all those post-it-notes. But not today. The sun has just come out and I am going outside to greet it with a smile on my face.

Thanks for stopping by. Cheers.
