Powerpoppy Peep of the Week Challenge

Greetings my dear blog friends,

I have some very exciting news. I was chosen as the PEEP OF THE WEEK for the month of August on the Powerpoppy Blog. I am so excited and best of all, I am allowed to chose a free stamp set. How wonderful is that!! Marcella's designs are so wonderful I simply cannot wait to see the new sets coming for the holidays to make my selection.

So, not to be one to rest on my laurels as they say, here is my card for this weeks Peep of the Week. I was at a decorating store today trying to choose wallpaper for my dining room. They had some really lovely ones and I ended up bringing home three books so I could see them in the light in my house. One of them had a stunning toile design. It is not what I will chose for the dining room but it gave me an idea for a card.

I stamped the mail focal image, the Powerpoppy Tulips in Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and coloured the tulips ever so slightly with Copics C3,C5 & C7. Cut out the image with Spellbinders Gold labels 4, ditto the sentiment which is from the Powerpoppy Geraniums Take Two set. Gave them a slight brush of colour with Memento Gray Flannel. I stamped the "toile" images in the same gray flannel. I then dyed a piece of white lace with the Tuxedo Black reinker in a bit of water, wrapped a bit of silver ribbon over it and cut out a couple of flourishes from Spellbinders. Added a few pearls for interest. I am sorry that the photo is not better but we are having the most ghastly storm here and I had to use artificial light.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Cheers.
